EXILIA Part Ways With Drummer, Announce Replacement
April 15, 2005Italian female-fronted quartet EXILIA have parted ways with drummer Andrea Ge. "EXILIA thank for his four years of intensive work, his enthusiasm, the great times and loads of fun, and more than 400 gigs throughout Europe, and they wish him all the best for his future," the band write in a statement. Replacing Andrea in the band is Ale. "Ale was born in Livorno, close to the Italian coast," the group write. "Alongside surfing and skating, his primary passion is rock music as favored by bands like MACHINE HEAD, METALLICA and PANTERA. Ale began his drumming career at the tender age of 15, gathering experience in his local area before making the big leap to seek out new challenges in 2000 with a move to Milan, home of Masha & Co.. His work there came to the attention of EXILIA, where he has immediately fit right into the picture with his enormous diversity and endless energy! From now on, Ale is a full member of EXILIA, and fans in Italy have already had the opportunity to enjoy him with the band live!"
EXILIA are continuing to tour in support of their debut album, "Unleashed", which was released last May via G.U.N./BMG Records.
